My name is Sonia and I am in my second to last class in the MAT ESL program. I love to see other parents in the program as I get encouragement that I will have some company in returning to school and subsequently work after many years. I have three children - this August, they will be in grades 7, 6, and 3. They all learned to read with BOB books and love to read now. I recognize several of the titles in our syllabus as my kids' old and new favorites.
In elementary school, I remember reading the Ramona series by Beverly Cleary over and over again. Ramona's life and problems seemed so real - I could identify with them completely! I only wished I had her spunk.
